PM136 - Stephanite on Pyrite - SOLD

Amazing stephanite crystals on pyrite, a combination i have never seen before from Freiberg. The piece is a full floater cluster and very well crystallized on all sides. There is an old label from the famous collection of Friedrich August Frenzel (1842-1902) coming with the piece, dated to 14.4.1901 and another one from Anton Berger, dated 21.9.1956. Superb European classic of great importance and historic value!

The best known tourmaline ever found at the oceanview mine! The lepidolite and feldspar both set a beautiful contrast to the deep pink rubellite crystal perched on top. Illustrated in extralapis No.41 Tourmaline II, page 73. No damage.

WOW! What an incredible fluorite crystal! It has a very unusual elongated form, slightly rounded edges, bevelled corners, deep green colour and a wonderful phantom - and it is perched on feldspar matrix! What else can we look for? One of the very best specimens from this famous locality i have ever seen. Truly a dream of every high end collector!

WOW! What a fantastic pyrargyrite crystal cluster featuring excellent luster and sharpness! The entire specimen is a floater and complete all around. The colour is pure red gem when backlight.

Wow, what a fantastic spray of blue baryte on matrix! The Sidi Lahcen mine has in fact produced a couple thousand blue baryte specimens in last two years, but only very few great ones. This is one of the best and most aesthetic ones i have seen from the entire production!

WOW! What a striking gwindel of highest standards! The clarity is superb and the twist is fabulous - this is a tall gwindel featuring all desirably qualities a top gwindel specimen should have. The bottom side is fully crystallized, there is no damage whatsoever! Killer indeed!

WOW! What a masterpiece creation of mother nature! A large and totally clear quartz gwindel is flanked by a regular quartz crystal on the right side. The quality of this specimen is simply breathtaking, it is the very best luster and clarity one can look for in any quartz crystal. The doubly beveled trapezohedron faces are so well developed and in fact unique, just unbelievable! The bottom side is fully crystallized also. No contacts, no damage, no flaws inside - just jaw dropping!

What an amazing rhodochrosite from famous finds in South Africa! A round aggregare of sharp scalenohedral crystals rests on top of another group of diverging direction. The entire specimen glows deep red in the light, the colour and luster are truly fantastic and as good as the best specimens found.
