This fantastic specimen features a 3.6 cm anglesite crystal perched on matrix. It comes from an old find at Touissit, for more than 20 years there has been no production of qualities like this any more. The crystal shows a very unusual style and crystal habit and is totally perfect all around.
An ironrose cluster perched on smoky quartz and adularia matrix! The combination of these 3 species in great quality is very rare in alpine pockets, and only a very small number of specimens have been recovered in fine condition. In addition, the back side shows some small yellowish stilbite balls. the ironrose aggregate is very lustrous and 3-dimensional! Very well crystallized, also on the back side!
What a major classic alpine specimen! This piece comes from the Gotthardtunnel, dug in the 1970s of last century. A composite cluster of large fluorite octahedrons to 5.0 cm across is resting on a floater matrix of chlorite included fluorites. Associated minerals are quartz (on back side) and a fine cluster of green apophyllites perched on top right side. The entire specimen is actually a complete floater and has no points of attachment or contact. the colour of the fluorites is quite unusual and more on the yellowish/orange side than one would expect from a swiss locality. Note how well the back side is crystallized also! Probably the best specimen recovered from this pocket and indeed an alpine masterpiece!
Great pinwheel adamite on gossan matrix. Unusually large and well formed!
Killer TN proustite from Niederschlema! This specimen has been preserved in the dark since the time it was found, and hence it still glows incredibly red. The colour shows up very well, even without backlight! A little bit of trivial edge wear is present, but the piece is still in great condition. In fact, the colour, transparency and lustre set the standard of the species!
This fantastic crystal is notably the biggest single unrepaired crystal i have ever seen from the Knappenwand. It features some very fine side crystals in parallel growth, and all of these feature a sharp and pristine termination. The colour glows in a deep brownish red when backlight. No damage. Another alpine masterpiece for the connoisseur collector! Price on request.
Another killer TN proustite from this old classic German locale! This crystal features a pointed termination and wonderful striations on all sides. Little buising along the edges is present, but tiny and trivial in context. The colour is in fact a deep red! The crystal just glows, even in daylight - there is no extra light source required!
