International Minerals #21
RV29 - Vivianite - SOLD
Rosia Poieni Mine, Mușca, Lupșa Commune, Alba, Romania
Size: 5.3 x 2.4 x 1.2 cm
The only compareable quality of vivianite in entire Europe came from Trepca - and crystal size was not larger than 2,5 to 3cm. From Romania I have seen some samples from Herja and Nistru Baita - tiny opaque stuff. I drop over the floor when I saw this new material; it is simply incredible. The dimension, the quality, the luster and this fantastic colour! This piece is from a recent discovery in spring 2019. In my evaluation one of the most relevant, the most important discoveries in entire Europe since decades or even for a century. The faces are highly lustrous and some intergrown light matrix helps to give more contrast to this exceptional crystal. Along the faces of the end-point you can see some modifications, which make this outstanding crystal even more special.
IT05 - Azurite - SOLD
Milpillas Mine, Cananea, Sonora, Mexico
Size: 4.1 x 3.9 x 1.6 cm
The specimen is developed as floater, each crystal - front side, back side, bottom, top - is highly lustrous, the faces show amazing texture, the color is royal blue and it looks really perfect in each position. There is much stuff from Milpillas, but this one stands out the crowd - it is formed like an „O“, this is not only a perspective - there is really a hole in the middle. There are many crystals in high quality, but the assemble gives a unique status to the piece. Again - there is no less attractive angle and quality is best 360°, undamaged.

One really amazing heliodor from recent discoveries in India. This material is very rare and only a low number of crystals shows this amazing quality. The crystal is gemmy and the etched texture on all faces is simply breath-taking. It looks nice on the photos, but I have to note that it is even much better in person.
