International Minerals #19

AT12 - Olmiite - 3600€
N'Chwaning Mine, Kuruman, Northern Cape Prov., South Africa
Size: 4.3 x 3.1 x 3 cm

Usually we know this material on common matrix or as clusters. But lustrous and intense colored large spheres on a gemmy sharp terminated calcite crystal are truely outstanding. This is probably the most remarkable and most asethetic specimen I have ever seen from the locality. It is develoepd as floater and the quality of both minerals is as good as it ever could be. Looks great in each angle, no significant damages to report.

A spray of sharp terminated, semi-lustrous prase-crystals. The shape is really perfect, the piece can be displayed 360°. All crystals are in excellent condition, there are no chips on the terminations. The saturation is also very good, an intense moss-green with some lighter zoning at the top of some crystals.

No significant damages to report.

TI24 - Rubellite - SOLD
Jonas Mine, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil

The crystal shows the very best quality and color. It has glassy character and this incredible magenta to purple color, that made this locality so famous. The pyramidal end-points and the lepidolite at the base make this crystal stand out the crowd of common single crystals. Perfect luster in union with clarity and color are most rare! No damages to report, no contacts, no repairs - perfect all around!

The crystal is dark brown, sharp terminated and highly lustrous, some smaller crystals are attachted at the base. Tiny edge wear is present in a few places, but its very minor and nothing of significance. Hard to photograph and even better in person.

The colour is the best, even for Milpillas! The contrast to vivid green malachite makes it even more special!
